Pet Anesthesia explained. When a pet is under general anesthesia, they are entirely unconscious, can’t feel pain, do not feel the surgery as it happens, and don’t remember anything afterward.
Provide your pet with plenty of love and attention. Follow the fasting (not eating) instructions you received in your email. Give your pet their morning medicines unless instructed not to. Bring a favorite comfort object, such as a blanket, stuffed animal, or toy.
